Whose data, whose responsibility

Everything below concerns pitchmastersat.com, the hotel guide that goes by the name Nightkey Hotels. Its editors look after the small amount of personal information mentioned on this page, and they answer privacy questions at hello@pitchmastersat.com.

Reading costs you nothing personal

Nightkey has no log-in, no newsletter and no members' corner. You can read every page anonymously; on purpose, we have installed no statistics package or audience counter.

Writing to us

An email to the desk, whether typed from scratch or drafted through our contact form, naturally reaches us with whatever it holds: usually a name, a reply address and your text. We put it to a single use: understanding and replying to what you wrote.

What the hosting company sees

Like any web server, ours may jot down routine connection facts for each request, such as an IP address, browser string, page address and time. Those entries exist to keep the site safe and running, are purged after a brief interval and are never mined to identify a reader.

One value on your device

Your browser holds a single small entry recording which button you pressed on the storage message. The Cookie Policy describes it.

Things ruled out

  • No ad pixels, share buttons or measurement scripts are embedded in any page.
  • No visitor profiling takes place, and no automated judgement is made about anyone.
  • Contact details stay with us; no third party buys, rents or receives them.

Google Fonts and hotel sites

The typefaces arrive from Google Fonts, so fetching them exposes your IP address to Google. After you follow a link to a hotel, that hotel's privacy rules take over.

Why we may keep an email, and for how long

Holding correspondence rests on our legitimate interest in answering readers. A message stays with us while the conversation continues and is deleted within a year of the final reply.

Requests you are entitled to make

Privacy law where you live may let you request a copy of your data, have errors fixed, have it erased, restrict or oppose particular uses, or take a grievance to your national data regulator. Email the desk with any such request and we will act within the deadline your law sets.

Adults only

Nightkey Hotels is written for people of 18 or older. Should we discover that a message came from someone younger, we delete it.
